There is no question that social media has become and extremely important part of the process of marketing and promoting business. In this article, I'm going to be talking about the pros and cons of the most popular and useful social media platforms available.

This is without a doubt the greatest strength that Facebook has to offer. It has a huge advantage over the other platforms in regards to the amount of traffic they have.
Great for all niches
Their popularity is also a great indicator of how easy it is to find potential customers for any niche. It doesn’t matter how small your niche is, if there is an audience for it, Facebook has it.
Full of features
Facebook continuously updates their tools and their features in order to help marketers make better use of people.
Cons:
It’s too popular
This might be an advantage in a way, but it’s also a disadvantage for crowded niches. You will have a very hard time reaching a popular status in certain niches.
You need to pay to get good reach
It’s virtually impossible for an average business page to become popular without boosting posts with paid ads, fortunately the ads are quite affordable.

The truth is that learning how to use Facebook for marketing requires a good number of things to be learned before you can do it efficiently.

Cons:
Not very popular with the general public
LinkedIn is not popular with people who are not looking to network with other professionals. There is very little room for entertainment talk in this network.

There are many niches that will not find this to be an ideal marketing location.

You might find yourself the target of a lot of criticism if you don’t keep things in a very serious tone.
